Rolex Date

I am looking at purchasing this piece, it will be my first Rolex, and just wanted a 2nd opinion to confirm that this is an original dial, and not refinished, and that the movement and case looks okay.

I would appreciate any insight.

Thanks!

Looks refinished. Where are the tritium dots at the hour markers? Also, the font of the "M" in "Chronometer" looks fatter/thicker than the other letters. That's not right. Lastly, the tritium on the hands looks black, which is unusual.

Looks ok to me. They didnt always have lume dots on the markers. Sometimes it was just the hands that had lume.

I do not believe every Date has lume plots. There are many non luminous dials that I have seen. Here is another picture of a near identical watch with a similar dial.

There are some models that did not have lume at the markers originally. The lack of residue where the markers would be suggests that this might be the case.

The 1570 movement is correct for the 1500.

i would be a little concerned about the pitting if you're not getting a discount for it...

I appreciate all the responses. Any other opinions on the dial as well as the severity of the pitting?
