Seiko GMT?

Seiko has such a great lineup now. Why does it not have an automatic GMT?

Haha. Yes, I am aware that I can buy a GS GMT for many thousands. And they are definitely good buys. But Seiko and GS are distinct and separate brands.

I just wonder why an awesome brand like Seiko has never had a mid-priced GMT for the masses. It could take any of its awesome sub-$1,000 diver watches and add a GMT complication for a big seller, IMHO. I don't know what is the reasoning for not making an automatic GMT to compete in that larger market than where the GS sits.
