7234r
I am considering the 7234R. I know it's not the most popular. I prefer sporty watches. I did have an Aquanaut awhile back but didn't really love it. Does anyone have one and what are your thoughts?

When you have to search the reference to find out what watch you are talking about , that tells you something

Unfortunately, no first hand experience with this piece. If you need help sourcing one though my AD has an allocation for this exact watch available.
For me personally, when I search for a pilot watch I'm more inclined to IWC. Not the answer you were looking for I know... |

I own the 5524R and I didn’t know what you were talking about. Never tried the smaller size so I don’t know how the smaller size affects the watch. But I can tell you that I love my 5524R and it’s way better than any IWC, oranges and apples. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My wife adores her 7234. It is one of her most worn watches.

I’ve tried it on and thought it was gorgeous. Great watch/perfect size imo.
If they made it with the white gold case/dark blue dial I’d have a hard time resisting it. |

I just got a 5524g and it is incredible. So if that size doesn’t work for you, I would imagine the smaller one would be awesome too!

I have a small wrist (6 half), 7234R fits nicely.
The reason I didn't go for the purchase was the buckle, as the strap runs from 18 to 16mm, I personally find it too small. |

I was considering one for a while, as the “men’s” watch is just too big for me. I looked at it several times, and had some time with one owned by a friend.
My hesitation was twofold; one the colour of the metal, it has a yellow hue (it is NOT the same metal as the men’s watch and it is absolutely noticeable to the eye) and two is the expectation of another white metal pilot for the ladies line up following the SG edition (I guess that may now be pushed a little further out than initially expected). |

I assumed that you know 7234G is released. In any case, I tried on 7234R a couple of times because I have smaller wrists but it's just too girly for me (the buckle tapers too much), which won't be a problem for you. Another thing is that I felt the two crowns on the left felt big compared to the size of the dial on 7234R but not so much on 5524. Not sure why but could just be an optical illusion. I ended up getting the 5524.

I had the same impressions as you after I tried on the 7234R. While I appreciate the smaller case size (5524 wears to big on me), something about it was just off. FWIW I also felt the same about the AP 15450. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Ok good call. Have you seen it in person? I don't know why I feel different about the 5524 and the 7234. I actually felt for the smaller model 7234 they should've just uses the pushers like those on the Aquanaut. Good luck with your decision regardless. I saw your other watches in your collection in some other posts and you had good tastes. :)

I know "no discounts" is pretty common among most brand nowadays but does PP offer anything on the 7234R since its dubbed a "ladies" watch or are they on the strict no discount policy.

In fact I have seen a couple of cases where if you want to buy either the 5524r or 7234r you have to buy both.
