Ha ha, indeed! I believe she had contacts at Vodafone who had contacts at Samsung who had contacts at Chelsea who put her in touch with Joe Cole who spoke with Jose. That was after she’d tried national newspapers to get pictures of the watch he was wearing on the day!

Very nice and rounded collection, mate. If you don't want to go up to a PCC, then how about some coloured gold, it could be worn on special occasions just for that something extra. Maybe sell a couple of the AP SS for a RG one, the bracelet alone is different gravy as you know.

Tried the two-tone sub, yellow gold doesn’t really suit me. Have however bought my wife an everose Daytona, it’s her birthday next month. Luckily, she wears her watches loose and I have small wrists, so we can see where this is going!!

That’s a very good memory, I was indeed. At one point a couple of years ago it nearly went as it wasn’t getting much wrist time, but it now probably gets more wrist time than any other.

That was a great combo. Sold the 116500 to a friend as it wasn’t getting worn following the arrival of the 116519. Regret it now, would love to have brushed it all and made it a stealth Daytona.

Keep the dream alive. It was only 8 years ago that I got my first Rolex and it felt like a huge purchase. Amazing how things can develop if you dare to dream.
