Real or Fake??

Hi everyone,

My sister in law just showed me this piece. Said it was her grandmother's Rolex. I've never seen anything like it but figured I'm no authority of vintage models. Any chance it's for real? It's all one solid piece, gold appears legit but not too sure about the watch itself. Movement appears to be quartz. Any help is much appreciated!

If you think it's genuine, any clue as to possible model? I'll try to get a shot of the rear case.

I don't believe these quartz models have true model numbers. The case backs are not difficult to pop off. A single edge razor blade works well

Likely authentic, from a period where Rolex used Italian made band and cases on these ladies

Even if there isn't a model number per se, any chance of a name or nickname?

Looks like a 14K 1980s cocktail watch. I was skeptical from the first pic but the latter pics made things much clearer.

It's one of many non-oyster ladies dress watches Rolex made the last 40 years or so. Based on style that one is probably from the 70s, the era of the Accutron. No collector value usually sentimental or scrap value.

Yea unfortunately there's not a big female vintage watch demand. But it's probably worth it's weight in gold.

Nice retro piece. I like how the bracelet texture appears to through the dial. Very 1970s.

one big problem with this type of band is, once it's shortened, it's permanent. The only real option to lengthen it is to add sections to the clasp.
