Icon5 1950s Tudor Oyster - Blank Caseback

Evening/Morning/Afternoon All! I've been lurking on these forms for a little while, apologies for my first post being a question :)

The majority of 1950s Tudor watches that I have seen have had a model number along with the other caseback reference. Is there a reason as to why some are completely blank?

Sometimes they are so over polished that the numbers have vanished. Either that or an aftermarket case back was used. Pictures of the watch in question would really help.

Cheers - alas I can't post pictures etc. at present. That's a good suggestion regarding the aftermarket case side of things as there's no Swiss Made on the dial either which I've heard is also an aftermarket trait.
