Next purchase dilemma
Hi everyone, I still consider myself a Rolex noob as my first foray into the world of Rolex only happened about two years ago when I picked up at 1975 1680. Now the bug has really caught me and I find myself constantly looking at another one to get which leads me to my dilemma. As I post this at 5:54 am my time, I've actually been searching for the past hour as I can't sleep thinking about my next purchase. This is how bad it is! I've been looking at the 114060, 116710blnr, 16610lv, 16613 blue and for the life of me, can't decide what should be my next purchase... Ideally I would keep my 1680 but at the same time, not sure if I should trade up into something else. I purchased the 1680 from Sheartime and apparently it has been untouched and unpolished which I like.
So without rambling on too much further, I realize my choices are all over the place but what do you think would be a good next piece for me in my collection? Should I even keep the 1680? Thanks for all your guidance and perspective! |

Keep the 1680 and save for the next one. Wait for that 'feeling' on your wrist before selecting the next one.

Keep it and add the BLNR if you can swing it.

I really like your 1680, so good you're keeping it.

Many people aspire to get a 1680 from sheartime. You are very lucky. Please don't part with that beauty.

Whatever you decide that you want next don't get rid of the one that you have now, I guarantee that you'll regret flipping it. Great looking Sub!

I won't tell you what to do, but l will let you how I feel about mine.
I have owned a 16613, a DJ2, a 16610, a 16600, a 16619 and a 1680. Still have the last three. It would be a tough choice between my 1680 and my 16619, if I had to go there. The others would be binned easily before the 1680. It's your first, but it's also a cornerstone and largely irreplaceable in that condition. |
