3 out of 4 watches will be AP... Is that crazy?

Ok so I was thinking about buying another watch and that happens to be an AP ......if I go ahead with it, 3 out of 4 watches will be AP... is that a bit crazy? Are there more ppl out there whose 90% watch collection consists of APs?

Currently I have a 15400 SS, 26320 RG on strap... and the one I'm eyeing is the new 44 rose gold novelty ROO

Not crazy.. my sickness started with the forged carbon 44, next I picked up the new RG 44 yesterday, and later I'm going after a diver and then a royal oak 41 after, so... can't stop now!

Buy what you like the look of, and will wear frequently enough to justify doing so – it isn’t any more complicated than that.

Not at all. I got to the point in collecting that I want to collect what I enjoy wearing. So off went most of the others except for a few rolexes that have sentimental value but rarely get worn. Actually might let one of them go for another AP.

What is crazy is that you have so many APs and not one is the marvellous RG 44! For sure I'd get that and maybe in future sell one of the ROs if you fancy another brand. I am just trying not to buy the Ti as well I like the 44s so much.

No it's fine, I mean I have 3 that people find almost identical, 5711, 5712 and 15300, plus 2 different, redundant sure but don't care

That's the one I'm looking at now, the SIHH 2017 release though... can you post some pictures of your RG 44? Your wrist is pretty much the same as mine if I can remember correctly... some far shot and close shot would help

This is a hobby where some will collect multitudes of Subs based on some minor text differences. I think you're fine.

Personally, I do value brand diversity, but that's just me.

My wrist is just under 7 inches but quite flat. Lugs fall within my wrist edges irl so I'm fine with it. Couple of shots.

Nothing wrong with loving a paricular brand and owning several pieces from that manufacturer. I, myself own half a dozen APs and I've never second guessed my decisions.

I've tried in the past to diversify but I find myself always going to my APs on a daily basis. I do enjoy my collection of Daytonas but not nearly as much as my ROOs and ROs.

So yeah, you are doing just fine.

For now, it's the ROC as it's the newest.

Do you change the straps yourself or take it to a watchsmith?

AP boutique or AP service centre. Changing straps in AP can bs a tricky business. Better leave it to the experts.

True that. Visited every boutique on the strip today once. But the AP store...twice.
