41mm Daytona next? Sub was a surprise, Daytona next?
Anyone think a 41mm Daytona is coming? The trend to 40mm+ is real. Who’s to say it can’t happen to the Daytona?

I thought the exact same thing when I saw the new Sub. Would love it to happen but can only imagine the secondary market pricing.

I'm not so sure, the Daytona already wears like a 39mm and has slim lugs and such...

The Daytonas (as a family) were just updated in 2016. It will be years before they get a total revamp.

I think years before we see any changes to the Daytona. I'm fine with that.

Shouldn't the Explorer family be next?

I’d like a slightly Larger Daytona as well. What I’d really like is a Daytona with a date, but I know that will never happen.

Yes, so much of the end of the bigger the better. All models will be offered in an over 4o mm diameter eventually...

Rolex is too smart a company to mess with success, no date and no change in size...hopefully

No reason why a Daytona should ever be the size of a dive watch.

How can you say that? They just changed the size of a watch that has decades long history, just sayin’. Ultimately, I’m indifferent to the Daytona, you can’t make a statement like that given what was just released. IMHO.

Who knows? They may change it as the Daytona wears small already.

The Daytonas are all fairly new. They are not changing anything for a decent amount of time. No need to either, the Daytona wears perfectly.

It would like better as a 41mm.

Maybe the trend will change to smaller watches in a decade. Daytona will be in 37mm again.

We can dream.
Probably a better chance that Rolex will release a new model with Chronograph function. They have multiple dive watches... |

42mm is my prediction since the curved case wears smaller.

You may be right but Daytona is their flagship model and was the first model going back many years that was always selling for more than retail and was always incredibly difficult to get. That’s what I based my opinion on. I almost bought a Daytona in 1983 but bought a YG President instead. The Pres was their flagship model in those days but you could get them at a discount.

I think this is inevitable. Rolex has mostly upsized its range and I expect that we'll eventually see a 41 or 42mm Daytona, especially now we have 41mm DJs and OPs. From a practical viewpoint this should also help with the oft-criticized readability.

Honestly I don't think it would bother me at all, it wears small IMO.

One of the best features of the Daytona is its slim case. And no need for Chronographs to have a big size, unlike the Subs. I doubt if Rolex will increase the Daytona's size anytime soon.

Agree with you kans. I don't know what the clamor is to make it bigger. It's Perfect as it is. Play with the other models but not the Daytona pls.
