To me it looks bigger on the wrist in pics yet thinking it would feel and wear thinner due to its proportions kind of like the 216570. I have two previous gen Subs and of course there's a pretty massive difference there. Hoping to try one on for size soon, my AD said he'll give me a shout out (not to buy) and will also be having a showing on all new models most likely late october. I'm sure you can't go wrong with the 124060. After all it is the flagship of all Rolex sports.

The 124060 definitely fits thinner and more comfortably than my 216570.

AD phoned me today, I am collecting my 124060 on Thursday, can’t do it before as away on a short break, AD is happy to wait until I get back ‘no rush the watch will be here when you get back’.

Do you have a photo of your 124060 and 216570 side by side? Thanks.

Oh wow, congratulations! Awesome watches! I managed to view one when I was in the Rolex boutique last week. It is beautiful! Maybe on my wishlist one day, but not for quite a while. I am so happy with the 124060!

DO it!! I just picked up mine with date, and its my favorite watch! It is very legible and with a 6.75 wrist, it wears very thin and comfortable. Cheers to all on TRF!!!

Thanks 😊
Hi,

Congratulations on getting the call, I've been on the wait list on two A.D's in Sussex for this watch a couple of months now, what is the A.D where you are and how long was your wait. Regards.

My wait was 3 weeks back when the watch was launched last September. I use Mappin and Webb at Bluewater for my Rolex watches, they are very good and I have no complaints.

Good luck getting your watch, it’s great.

I got my 124060 last month. I was a little apprehensive about the increase in size at first but I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I bought it based on the pictures alone and it is better than advertised in person. The Submariner is my all time favorite watch and the new one is very well proportioned for my wrist size (about 7”). The glide lock is amazing and the extra weight is noticeable but not overwhelming. I’m still in the honeymoon phase but it is definitely money well spent!

I've had mine since February and it's become my daily watch. My girlfriend actually remarked on it and said she liked it. It somehow feels you're wearing a 5 digit head on a new seadweller clasp but that holds the head in place on my wrist perfectly.

I was apprehensive about the changes and size coming from an 11 series sub, but the 12 series is perfection. From the larger clasp, to the wider lugs, they’ve nailed the proportions. Bought it back n March and it hasn’t left my wrist, 5 months later and I’m still in love with it.
