Hello guys,

On the backside of my 18239 is some kind of mark, it is very difficul to make an picture of it.

Has anybody an idea what tis is?

I don’t think it’s factory. Some retailers added small marks (Heetman also did it many years ago)

Just looked with an maginifier glas and the first letter is S and then the Rolex crown and then the letter R.

Mine don’t have such marking on the back; imagine that is a custom marking from a past owner?

A sort of anti theft positive ID marking from a previous owner?

I've seen it before. It's a retailer or servicing mark or something. Oval markings. It's been discussed on here before. Nothing to worry about anyway.
