NC Earthquake or Space Aliens?

Wow, living on the East Coast never had a tremor like that. Sitting at our kitchen table and chairs started hopping. Nephew in Gastonia says it was stronger there with his tractor hopping up and down in his shop.

Or, maybe it was space aliens. Just saying hi.

Anyone else in NC just feel that?

Stay safe.

At least you were sitting down my friend.

US Gov just reported 5.1 in Sparta NC.

Stay safe.

Yeah it was ‘upgraded’. This one seemed ‘weaker’ than the 3.x we had a few years ago. That one also lasted quite a bit longer than this one. Waiting for aftershocks. Perfect excuse for an earthquake party

Felt it strong here in the foothills, 75 miles south of epicenter !

The first I have ever knowingly experienced, ............ it shook the house to the point of making some noise, cookware rattling, and I could actually see the kitchen table moving. Weird feeling when you can feel the floor moving !

Scary stuff.

Most I've experienced here was 4.9, epicenter 2km away back in 2002. Did quite a lot of damage to our house and as a then 8 year old it was very scary.

I was on TRF this morning when it started. I knew what it was right off as we have had a few over the years. Interesting. You just never know.

I’m in Richmond VA and we felt it here. Not normal for this part of the world.

And yes I’m also ready to just fast forward to 2021...
