I probably got my first pair right around the same year, while working as a snowmaker in Breckenridge. Had 3 or 4 pairs over the years, back when they weren't so pricey. I have 2 old spare pairs in the drawer with broken wings. There's a guy in Minnesota who will put new frames on them for $56. Need to send them in...

Is that a service dial? or is that original.... and it looks a bit over polished to me.

Your bezel is upside down. Please rotate into the correct position

You guys are just jealous! It's a special order from Rolex.
I got a good price at a grey dealer, 5k usd. I made a great deal The crown was a bit overpolished though. |

"Rare?" Really? C'mon...
So, I have read posts that say that the "Swiss only" dial on my '99 GMT II is "rare". Then, someone posted a link to an article on GMT dials that said that the "rectangular box II" like mine has is "rare".
C'mon, are you telling me that all 1999 (and who knows what other years) GMTs aren't all set up with those same dials? How "rare" can they be?? |

I love my BLNR. I wonder why the BLNR & BLRO didn't receive the blue/red text for GMT Master II like the LN did with the green text? 20200811_203103.jpg

Just pulled this out of my safety deposit box to give it some wrist. My wife's wedding present to me 44 years ago.

Thanks. This is the only 1675 I have seen "in person." I always found it interesting when people here on TRF would swoon over watches that looked like they were sun bleached and run over by a trunk. I was always careful with it. In fact, if you look close you will see a mark on the bezel right across the #2 at the 1:00 position. My dog jumped up and did that in about 1980. I still remember it. The watch started out with an American made Oyster bracelet but I always wanted a Flip-Lok. Bought a Flip-Lok with rolled links in Geneva at Bucherer's two weeks later on our honeymoon. In 1983 during a vacation in Norway I bought a "souvenir" Jubilee bracelet at Bjerke in Olso. The other bands got sold on ebay long ago.
