longevity of vintage Jubilee bracelets

Hey folks,
I own a nice vintage Datejust 16030 from 1984 on the original Jubilee bracelet. The watch is as old as I am and it‘s by far the watch I like to wear most out of my whole collection. On lots of days though, I find myself wearing other watches simple because I want to give the bracelet some rest. Or because I want to preserve the bracelet as long as possible. It has quite a bit of stretch already, and I can‘t picture putting the watch on a strap. Do you guys think I worrying too much? At what point do the old Jubilee bracelets really „break“? Or is there a chance I could wear this bracelet for another 40 years daily

Yes, I think you are worrying too much. The bracelet can be restored for about $500 or replaced with a new one for a reasonable price.

Just have it fixed, it’s cheap.

Stretch equals wear. When the pins are worn this may lead to bracelet failure.

A picture of the bracelet would help.

These bracelets are affordable. Let us see a picture. Perhaps restore it or replace it. Worst option is resting it - don't not enjoy something for a reason you could mitigate.

Before and after Rolliworks. It was about an inch shorter after.

Lighting is fine... Bracelet has tons of life left in it so I wouldn't worry about wearing it as is.

However much that watch has been worn, I’d say you can almost double that time before the bracelet will really need a refurb.
