94110 Blue Snowflake

Hi All - long time lurker and wanted to share some pics of my ~82 snowflake. If anyone has suggestions on good places to maybe get the hands color matched I would appreciate the pointers.

If you don't mind paying for it, LAWW does a good job with tritium hands, and can give you various options regarding the type of lume they use.

WoW. That is quite the watch. I would leave it as is. Tudors are supposed to look like they have been worn and seen adventures

That's a spectacular piece indeed. I won't touch the hands and also I would wear it on its original bracelet.

I normally like hands to match lume plots but that looks really good.

Presuming the hands are original the another option could be buying an extra set of hands that match the lume closer? Then there are no regrets?

That looks to be in lovely condition! I prefer a colour match but if the hands are original, I'd leave them alone, personally, but I'd say that should be a fairly easy match as the dial markers haven't gone pumpkin/deeper, so a pretty low risk re-lume, if you see what I mean.

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I love these vintage pieces as they have so much character. This one is in very nice shape for sure, the dial has taken on an interesting texture which I know is a polarizing topic, but as others have mentioned, I like these when they appear to have a story to tell.

The hands do look to have been resumed at some point, so I wouldn't be too worried about needing a second set to preserve these. I will look into the suggestions you all have made.

Nice watch. Personally I would leave the hands alone, or as mentioned above, source a set of hands that need to be relumed and save the originals.

Flake hands often do not match

Agree. There's no need to have everything fully matching with these. The hand color isn't even that different.

I have only relumed a couple sets of hands on 80’s “vintage” watches.

Kent Parks relume job on my Tudor 76100 dial/hands - I always thought looked super convincing. I should have asked him to write “relumed” on the back of the dial.

So convincing that someone is selling it on Chrono24 as original I’m pretty sure. I’ve asked him if it’s the same serial and he hasn’t answered me. I’m not 100% sure but it looks like the same watch.

OP, take pics in different lights, daylight etc. good looking watch.I would like to see it in various lights because it looks pretty good as it is in that setting.

Leave unmolested I'd suggest. As Linesiders says ^ more often than not SF hands are not an exact match.

I tried to get my hands to match on my blue 94110 and they ended up darker.

I get wanting them to match… if it’s the kind of thing keeping you from enjoying the watch then I say fix it. If your on the fence, then leave it since it could always turn out like mine.

I didn't have to touch my hands, matching quite nicely, pure luck!

The hands on my snowflake are the same, I'd leave it - it's just hands ageing differntly. Nice watch.

Terrible photo and now on a later, sharper bezel ring but:

My hands look much lighter than my markers here but not so much IRL.
