Rolex Jubilee bracelet - real or fake?
Hi everyone
I came across this Rolex Jubilee bracelet and wanted your advice please. It has the markings 'Patented & Registered' and 'Swiss Made' on the left, 'Steelinox' and '62510H' on the right, along with the small coronet marking and the letter 'A'. I have attached a photo but it is not so easy to capture. Can you tell me if this is a fake or genuine. I have my reservations to be honest, as the writing does not seem to be as defined as I would have thought. Also I am aware that there are dubious bracelets around with the 'small coronet marking'. You feedback would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks 14072009070.jpg |

Looks like the early GMT jubilee, early 80's are the end links marked 550?

Here is the thread to a previous discussion regarding these bands. The Rolex experts mentioned in this thread were from the Rolex Service Center.
There were clasps made for the Jubilee bands that carried the small coronet stamping in the lower right corner on the inner clasp. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...ht=small+crown

Hi Springer
I posted my question on the thread you suggested, but no response as yet. Any thoughts from anyone on the genuineness of the bracelet? Are the links correct etc? Many thanks |

...the one pictured is COUNTERFEIT0-a bad one...
...while it is true that Rolex produced these for distribution in the US market, the folding clasp pictured is fake.
...notice the crudeness of the stampings and the incorrect placement of the stampings. ...the additional little crown is sooooo poor it is ridiculous. The genuine version is very crisp, as shown in the old thread that springer and I showed pic's. |

Hi Tudorman...
Thanks for the information. I thought as much that it was fake, it is just good to get confirmation form other members. I own two genuine oyster bracelets - one a 60's rivetted and one a 70's folded link. However I did not have a Jubilee to compare. This one is now in the rubbish bin. Thanks once again |
