My First Rolex Acquisition - Ref 1500 (1972)

I always liked the form factor of vintage watches. The new ones look a little to big on my small wrists. I started out with the Omega Seamaster 30 which is an absolute beauty. Recently I caught an interest in Rolex and thought the 1500 was just right for me!

This Oyster Date 1500 circa 1972 has a black matte dial which I heard is not common (is that true?). This one has a sweet 1570 caliber on it but I'm guessing it's more accurately the 1575 since it has a date complication. Seller had a black leather strap on it but I decided to get the Oyster bracelet to go with it (ref 78350)
