Icon4 Fraudulent Bank Check Deposit - watch out guys !!

Some dude deposited a fraudulent $18000 Bank check into my Wells Fargo account on Friday.

He went by the name of Sam Nakia Darrough (prob fake) with a ship to address of 1619 North La Brea Los Angeles California 90028. Phone number 323-498-9893

Fortunately the Wells Fargo fraud department is on their game and caught it.

The worst part about it is he talk to me on the phone several times and made everything seem completely legit. I spoke directly to this dirt bag, then discovered it was a fraudulent check all along. Arg.

This is a very common scam... it is one of the reasons why you should always wait for a deposit to go from "pending" to "completed"...

Even after 'completed' it can be reversed. I would always call the issuing bank to make sure its legit.

Again, its easy to check the authenticity of a USPS MO. Just call the 1-800 number.
