For the next purchase, I am contemplating a pre-owned VC Overseas Chrono. This particular piece has been factory serviced recently so no worries in that respect but how about the future - what is the recommended service frequency for VCs ? And of course, what kind of service costs should I expect.
The watch would not by no means be in heavy use so no polisihing would ever be needed, just basic cleaning and lubing.
Any thoughts ?

VC will recommend a three year service interval for your presumably 2nd Gen 49150.
It’s a JLC 889 base with their own big date modeule.
Cost can be confirmed by contacting them, but bank on it being in the region of €1000 direct— more if you hand it over to an AD.

These are uk prices I was quoted for mine direct with VC London back in 2014 in gbp before tax. Great service.

I think servicing a Daytona through RSC is roughly the same, $1200 or so, so actually it's not that high, particularly given the large MSRP difference.

For what it's worth, VC just sent me a bottle of champagne for my birthday. I bought the Overseas in the summer last year. Maybe that's why the service is so high! https://www.rolexforums.com/images/smilies/rofl.gif
