Depends on your current roster. These are two different types of watches.

Can't go wrong with either =)

I would go with Lange. It's like comparing an M3 to a Ferrari 458..

As much as I like Rolex, I must however in this case say Lange, all day.

Rolex is great. But it's just an everyday watch and you already got it. Lange is on another level.

I just bought that exact Daytona, and I'm still going with the Lange. I would also probably have it behind a plexi-case for display purposes only.

Do people have thoughts on whether they prefer the White Gold or Rose Gold 1815?

I wouldn't buy that Lange NIB because the value drops as a rock, but if it is under $30K as you are indicating, it is a great buy. Stunning piece IMO.

Lange of course, Rolex is popular now. Since is affordable for almost everyone. But ALS PP VC are in a different level historically and reputation wise. Its not saying daytona is a bad watch, it is a handsome watch , but if that the choice, it is easy.

Congratulations!
I do want to say though, assuming you paid in the upper $20k region, that seems like an unusually good price for that watch. What's the manufacture year and any service history on the watch?

Manufacture year is 2018. Seller said that owner only worn it once or twice. This I think accurate judging from condition of the leather strap, no crease or what so ever. Seller said that previous owener bought it just for the sake of having Lange lol .. talking bout crazy rich asian (ex-owner is Singaporean)

The Lange is a no brainer. A work of art. To bad you can’t wear it with the back side up.
