I have to agree here. You've got an excellent duo there and on par with each other. Get your name on the list for her Daytona at the AD where you got those two and just wait out....

Oh man 100% here. You guys would be on the losing end big time if you're paying secondary prices for a Daytona C. To be quite honest that isn't a smart purchase right now. If anything hold off and trade her CHNR in on a new TT Ceramic Daytona when they are released. At least you won't be dropping $10k of dead money this way. A lot of people say get what your heart wants, but you must do so within reason. Not within reason here imo. My heart wants a Platona, but I still "only" have a 116520 lol

This is a tough one. Those are two great ones. Personally, I would keep them and buy the Daytona as they are three very different watches, plus you would then have land, sea, and air. But if that is definitely not an option, keep the RG GMT. They are harder to find, I think, than the Bluesy. Happy decision making and enjoy the new car. And of course it isn't crazy to buy a watch to match a new car......

Haha right ? She has been waiting on this car for 2 years now. no point in losing anymore cash on watches. I claim to be good with money but then let my emotions get to involved. Want want want with no patience. Poor ole girl is just going to have to wear her brand new 2 tone root beer and here Chanel j12 watch for now. There are worse problems we can have than this !! I actually wore her watch today. Was a little right on the wrist but it looked good

As you have got both TTs from your AD I would give them a year to come up with one at rrp, your a good customer give them a try, then you can have 3 stunning watches

If you don’t need the gmt function, I’d keep, the bluesy. I really enjoy wearing mine.both will appreciate. Keep both, if you can. The longer you wait to sell, the more money you’ll make. The root beer is rare to be seen, but the sub is beautiful too. But if you absolutely must part with one, I’d let functionally decide. I use the GMT function daily within my Rolex gmt.. so I’d never sell it. But, I enjoy wearing the sub two tone immensely l

Keep the iconic piece the sub bluesy. It’s already hard to buy one now a days. And will be even more difficult to get one later on. Or best is to keep both in my mind.

Hmm, tough call. I love the shade of blue of that bezel and how it coordinates with the blue dial. Simply mesmerizing. However, I'm not a big fan of the yellow gold as I find it a touch too blingy these days. However, the Everose Gold is very unimposing and sets off the colours of the GMT bezel perfectly. I would do my best to keep both but if one had to go I would probably keep the submariner and gift the other to me :)

My extra suggestion is this
Does your wife really like the CHNR if so then that stays. That way the Daytona gets ordered and you will have a very grateful wife.

The two tone Submariner Date is more iconic though I think the two tone GMT-Master II is probably more useful for most. Either would contrast real well with a white dial Daytona. My gut is telling me to tell you to keep the Submariner Date, but I'd want a lot of alone time with that new Daytona.

Agree with keep both. Does her new “car watch” have to be a Rolex? Speedmaster probably a better bet, and can be had in more feminine styles.

I’m general, though, to answer the question asked, I’d keep the Sub. I think that rose gold for men’s sports watches will be a passing fad, and not as timeless as yellow. Goes double for TT pieces. Don’t get me wrong, I prefer the RG look, I just don’t see it as having the same staying power for generations. There’s a reason that Rolex only recently started doing any men’s watches (apart from DD) in RG but have done YG for a century.

I would keep the bluesy, especially when the CHNR can still ask for good money.
