I believe this. The LN has been a standard for decades. A new movement with slight dial changes is very plausible.

GMT LN discontinued.

The GMT became to super hot model versus the submariner so they needed product differentiation from a business standpoint the discontinuing the LN and placing the BLNR on a Jubilee they differentiate it from the submariner and other lines.

The LN could be out for an extended period of time as long as the GMT‘s are super hot. The LN started climbing last year when the Pepsi’s were released.

That’s when I decided to pick one up because you could still get them at MSRP without massive wait lists. Plus the model had been our 12 years so it could be discoed after a long run.

I do not think they will shoot up in price. But I do not think it will come back right away, that was my calculation

One of my mate was told by his AD that the wait for LN is 3 years now ... how does this gel with the news??

Valid point. Am I a customer, yes, top customer, no. Let's face it I'm screwed, LOL! Thanks. Hey Rolex, a message for you

It kind of makes sense....Seems Rolex is putting some space between the GMT and Sub lines. I think for the general population (not us), if you want a black GMT they just move you over to the Submariner. Most people in the general population don't know the difference between a Sub and a GMT anyway.

Well now the AD telling me they received zero GMTs in their last big shipment explains it all. I’ve gotta say this BW is very disappointing. Not offering a single steel GMT on Oyster is a mistake imo. At least prices haven’t been increased for most sports except for the new pieces of course.

Interesting point. It just doesn't make sense to me that if someone wants GMT functionality with a solid black bezel it's not available. Gotta love Rolex, it is what it is.

No more SS GMTs with oysters! Im shocked, but like most mentioned more than likely one will be introduced in the near future with updated movement. Hopefully not with green writing and gmt hand.. Nevertheless glad I have my LN

Historically, the absence of a model on the website is not sufficient evidence that a model has been discontinued.

Of course, this fact doesn't mean that the LN hasn't been discontinued.

It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me that the LN should be discontinued, even temporarily, unless of course, if it wasn't selling.

LN isn't gone, it's on the Rolex website as a configurable bezel option, black, black/blue and red/blue.

The black 116710 has been out for more than a decade. Don't know why rolex wouldn't just upgrade the movement and continue selling it for a higher price.

This was the most surprising thing they did today. Wait times were already ridiculous for the BLNR and BLRO. Now, you take away the (relatively) attainable LN?

It'll be fun to see the grey market for the LN now. Knock-on impacts for the BLRO and BLNR will surely be longer wait times and higher grey prices.

Not an option anymore. You're full SS options are now only the BLNR or BLRO.

The LN was the best current production GMT you could actually buy. Too many chasing the BLRO and everyone had the BLNR

At least I got my 116718 while I could. Love that watch

Everyone already has the BLNR and its just going to get more common now as they have removed all the LN versions (gold, TT and SS). Crazy they did this.

I was at an AD in San Diego yesterday and it looked like the staff and owner were talking to a rep from Rolex. They were griping about supply and he was reassuring them more would be available. Who knows what watches they were talking about but maybe we’ll see more of the remaining GMTs become available. So grey market prices for those will fall and the LN will go up. Then in 5 or whatever years, the new LN will come out but at that grey market price point.

Yes, yes, yes!
They can’t kill this icon. Similar to getting rid of the Sub.
