The current Batman?

Will it now trend up or down? I never get it right! I’m always on the loser side. Lol

I really don't know what to think about that and actually post a thread for this discussion.
My personnal feeling, people will go to Jubilee instead of waiting for their "classic" Batman...IMHO

It's the same watch, albeit the change to the jubilee.

My view, it will go down.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I actually prefer the jubilee to the old oyster. Now if it was an all brushed oyster...

Down. Newer reference has a better movement (power reserve) and you can source an oyster bracelet for it, plus you get to keep the new jubilee.

Well you can still grab one from David at the same prices. I thought he would have pulled them from the site.

Def up. Significantly. Most prefer oyster on sport models despite rolex pushing jubilee down our throats to the max.

frankly although the jubilee in GMT is not bad, the "right" bracelet for ROLEX SS professional models, shall be oyster, including the BLRO and BLNR.

This plus WG BLRO on oyster! Makes older BLNR appear more exclusive

Down. The new BLNR has the newer/better movement and even before it was updated with a jubilee bracelet, people paid premium to source jubilee bracelets for their BLNRs.

It should go down with the new and improved watch. But this will depend on the availability of the new one. I think it will hold at current levels or even increase since Rolex will be slow to release.

Similarly, the older Pepsi went up in price when the new and improved SS one came out last year.

Be interesting to see if these opinions are biased towards whether you actually own a blnr

To the moon! I’m partial though...

In all seriousness, if you can’t replace the bands on the new release the original is much more desirable as the jubilee can be blingy.

Time will tell but personally I think the market price of the original BLNR will rise.

The "Batman" will probably (IMO), stay at current prices while the 2019 "Dark Knight" will pull a 2018 "Pepsi"! LOL...
Won't take credit "Dark Knight" name, cause I read it HERE awhile ago. But I sure hope that nickname sticks!

Time will tell. Please keep in mind the price of the original JC DSSD didn't go down after the new movement version was introduced last year.

I personally don't care since I like the oyster version a lot more and brought mine 3 years ago from AD with discount

I think it’s good they put another professional model on jubilee bracelet.

Notice the all white text lettering on the dial on the new one?

Previous “GMT Master” was in blue.

I just got mine on Friday from AD - as much as the the new movement was cool I think the waiting list for this guy will be massive.

I think prices will dip a bit with the speculators panic selling in the beginning. But then they'll stabilize when people are confronted with 10 year waitlists for the new one, and people settle for the old one. Kind of like when people said the 116520s will tank with the new 116500. Look at where 116520s are now, lol.

Discountinued model will yield some increase in its value I suppose, but the new mode looks fine with new bracelet and a better movement.
