P-01. Be honest how many people put in?

So i did... who is with me. Dont be shy. Lol. I think the side pictures show off the watch better. The integrated end links wrap around the wrist more. Looks less kayak like vs lookine head on. This is really exciting in my mind.

I give them credit for taking the risk and putting something genuinely different and unique out, but sorry it's just not for me

I actually like it as well and looking forward to trying one on when they're released. It'll likely join the stable later this year...

I ain't in, and I ain't out. But I am intrigued by the quirkiness.

I going to look at it hard due to the fact it’s a true tool watch and not a fashion/jewelry watch.

I am going to the record to say that every day i like it more and more. Most people hate the way it looks which is understandable, but for me, i hate that they took a pure tool dive prototype and put a 12hr bezel and leather strap on it. Its like they are celebrating how quirky it is rather than its usefulness. If it had a proper dive bezel for timing dives i would be all in.

The straight on pics are not flatering because it doesnt show the curvature of the end link mechanism. These are pretty good pics

People are losing their minds about this watch right now. In 20 years it will be a modern Tudor classic and the first run will be incredibly valuable.

I honestly don't totally hate it.

I wish it was a 38mm case with long lugs instead of 42mm with stubby lugs...

The fatness makes it not as flattering as the "Prototypes"...

I'd be tempted to pick one up at a heavy discount used....

Yep is like something from Flash Gordon back in the day. I wasn't keen on Flash Gordon either. But hey some folks will like it, i salute them.

Whats with the end links nipping onto the bezel? Do you have to remove it from your wrist it to set dive times?

The thing is, whether we like it or not, it carries a story: That prototype Rolex/Tudor project for the US Navy in the 60s...

I think that's what will give an ownership interest to this unique piece.

This year, along with the Two Tone SD43 -recalling the first Marianne Trench dive (which apparently was Two Tone), Rolex clearly chose to reconnect with events from the past under both brands.

Not a fan. I kind of get the link to its history...if it didn’t have a leather strap

I'm going to go ahead and say that I would absolutely wear that. Weird enough that I like it for that reason alone.

I won't buy one though.

I am seriously considering it. At first I didn't like it at all and then I developed a weird fascination for it. Its just different enough to be intriguing even if I think its fugly some moments and beautiful in others. I think I may have to pick one up

For me it’s like when the new Air-King was released. I did not like it until I saw it in the flesh and tried it on. The rest was history.
This piece is the same. I have to see it and try it on, if my local AD ever gets one.
This at least piqued my interest.
For collectors, it’s the first model ever so it might be very valuable in the distant future.
