The 116520 is fairly common. This on the other hand is not necessarily so, and full gold to boot.
I'd say go for it - take advantage of the SS daytona bubble whilst you can! Sent from my CLT-L29 using Tapatalk |

If it was my I’d fence the Daytona (he’s lost interest) and go hunting for some good deals on Rolexes. No reason to wrap all your money into one watch. I like having a Rolex to wear for the appropriate occasion; around the house to showtime!
Personally, 3 Rolexes is my number. 4 and above is a collection. |

Have not seen what else is in your collection. I’ve done that.... traded SS for a gold sub. It was a problem because there were times I wanted to wear SS, for whatever reason.
My advice - have another watch you can wear when you don’t want to wear PM. I love the 116719 and 116619, but I ended up putting more SS Rolex into my collection. Having only one watch, and it being a PM, did not work for me. I would absoutely trade, if you have others you can wear. Gold sub is magnificent! Happy hunting!

I currently own 2 pieces.
Black dial DaytonaC & and SubC LN, so in any trade I would still have my steel SubC to wear as a daily. I’m still undecided on the trade but all of your comments have me leaning towards making it. I hate being indecisive! will give it more though. Much much appreciated on your feedback. |

I love that watch, but not for me. If I had a picture to show everyone, I would. That Sub looked horrible on me. I have a fair complexion (I burn, don't tan). |

Really like both of those so that’s a tough one. But from value perspective you’re getting a solid gold watch that’s worth a lot more than the Daytona so it depends on how much extra is going on top of the Daytona. Won’t be as subtle or versatile as the Daytona but it’s great to have some variety. With that deal I guess it would be easier to replace the Daytona if the YG Sub doesn’t work out when you offload it but that is unlikely as that YG Sub is a stunner, and it’s gold

What’s the definition of a little cash and what year and condition is the Gold Sub.
I personally like the Daytona more as a model vs the Sub, but if they are equal to you in terms of enjoyment it’s all about the numbers.... |

Yes please, gold is inherently more valuable than ss. When the global economic melt down happens, those who control gold will rule the earth.

Completely up to your wallet and your taste. Subs are amazing and the heft of PM is something amazing.
You will gain far better legibility over the Daytona. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

UPDATE: I just couldn’t part with my Daytona. Something told me that I would miss the watch. I think I could always find a gold Sub via TS for below retail but unlikely I ever get another Daytona at retail. For now at least I’m staying put with these two. Hoping to get a call on the BLRO by the Summer. Really appreciate all of your feedback and suggestions.

Man tough call! I too have a Daytona C. White dial. Thought of offloading with cash for a YG Sub. Ended up purchasing a Smurf and kept the Daytona C. The White gold is awesome!
Still thinking of dumping the Daytona and getting the YG Blue sub for when I want a little more razzmatazz! I never wear the Daytona. I have a sea dweller as my beater. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Good call. Better to have some diversity. The Daytona and Sub. I have a couple Subs; but I have others in rotation, too.

The PM Sub makes a statement on the wrist much more than the SS Daytona IMHO. It’s a true showstopper! It’s obviously hard to come by the SS Daytona now. PM Sub is available pretty easily. I’d keep Daytona, trade off the sub and upgrade to the PM sub! It feels like something you can’t explain on the wrist :-)
