A million, but I'll settle for "as many as I can get".

There is no ‘right number’ as this is one addiction you’ll never go cold turkey on!! My perfect 3 is a combination of Land (Daytona), Air (GMT) and Sea (Submariner). Then add as your wallet desires..

If I could only own or keep 1 Rolex it would be a GMT 116710LN. I would wear it come rain or shine and take great pleasure in the knocks, marks, scratches and daily beatings that watch would experience and endure. I’d then pass it down to my Son and expect him to wear it as proud and as carefree as I did. That’s what makes our Rolex watches so much more than a luxury brand.

What’s your number?

Right number is what’s right for you.

I’ve had 6 which for me was too many to enjoy each one. I’m down to 4 and that’s a happy place for me right now.

From here on in it will be one out one in.

The greatest number your spouse tolerates. The number because of which your spouse won't file for divorce.

What is an acceptable ratio of Rolex watches to spouses?

There can only be one (two?) answers.

As many as you can afford.

OR

ALL of them. You guys need to be better enabler's, as they say in the 1911 world.

I don't really want to get above 6-8 watches total and wouldn't want any single brand to have a majority so 3 I guess is my number. I only have one now. I'm in no hurry and the non-orange Milgauss I hoped to see didn't show up at Baselworld.

At least two. That way, there’s still a Rolex to wear when the other goes in for service.

I think as many as you could afford. It's never too many. Personally, 7 watches - 1 for each day in a week :p

I struggle with this. When I feel I have too many and don't wear one for a year, I consider selling and then look at how incredible the watch is and the beautiful attributes that caused me to purchase it originally and it goes back into the safe.

Anytime you get over 1, you're on a very slippery slope.
