Emergency transmitter replacement cost ?

So, there's an Emergency Mission in a local shop that has had the transmitter deployed. No "pig tail" or large screw cap is with the watch anymore and the second wire was not deployed.
What is the best way to replace the cap? My Emergency looks like the "cap" is held in place with a plastic seal "ring", but I do not need the transmitter or transmitter battery replaced.

I have no idea if or how much Breitling will charge to replace the function or if a local AD to get it back to order.

He is taking offers on the watch. I'm thinking it's trashed and only worth the price of the band.

Thank you, in advance.

One of 2 suggestions. Get the reference number off the case back and look up service cost in the service section of the Breitling site. Or call Breitling and ask them. There easy to talk to. Either way you will get a definitive answer. I have been told the first "reset" is free.

I thought I read somewhere a while back that Breitling was not going to service the transmitters moving forward on the original Emergency models that used the 121.5 beacon. I would definitely have the AD call and see if it can still be serviced.

I would be interested in knowing where you read that from?

But I do believe a call to Breitling Service Center will clear the question right up.

Regarding the original watch in question. It sounds like it saved someone's life, or it was bad joke after a few drinks. LOL

Try it, it won't hurt. I promise. :)

You just have to pop the cap, then either wrap the wire around the watch itself or cut the wire. haha.

I heard it's like half the cost of the watch to fix, basically almost the cost of a pre-owned one... keep us posted on what breitling says

Salesman at the Breitling boutique told me Breitling will service the transmitter for free, if deployed for a legitimate emergency. It is an Emergency after all.
