Correct hands for 1965 Rolex Date 1501
Hello forum experts,
I am looking for a nice stainless steel Rolex Date 1501 from the year 1965 (birth year of my wife, as a gift for her). Most options I found have baton hands, this one has Dauphine. Can anyone advise, which ones are correct? Optically I prefer Dauphine, but I do not want a Franken watch. Any advise, also on a buyers guide or history of the 1501 would be very welcome. 1501 information is a bit underrepresented on the web as far as I can see... Thanks! Tobias |

Also - afterthought - the dial seems to miss the lumen plots. So, this is probably not correct / later replacement? Thanks for any hints...

It's exactly as it should be, imho.
All dials had T SWISS T lume or not. In 65 very easily could've had Dauphine with those markers I think and they would also have no lume. I'd own that. The band is later probably. |

Roman / arabic numbers inside the case back? Serial number of the watch? Thank you! Tobias |

Serial number (between the lugs) can narrow it down a lot, coupled with the inner caseback, you can get quite close.
