New Watch: Hermès H08

I knew I had to get the orange strap version the moment I saw this online. Bought it today at the Hermès boutique.

What I love:
- Watch is light and super comfortable on the wrist. This is the lightest watch in my collection at the moment and given how comfortable it is, means will it get a lot of wrist time,
- the micro adjust on the clasp is brilliant. Made the difference between being able to wear this or not,
- the overall finish and execution is superb, love the sunburst effect on the brushed titanium bezel,
- hacking seconds,
- quick set date,
- watch sits flat on my wrist, and it’s slim at 10.6mm,
- 100m WR means it’s well suited to be an every day go anywhere watch,
- the indices, some may feel otherwise but I love the font design,
- seconds hands with the arrow orange tip is a great touch

Only gripe I have is the strap is too long for someone like me with a narrow wrist (6.3”). Sufficient buckle holes and micro adjust on the clasp means the fit is just right.

Here are some pics.

It appears the pip on the seconds hand does not have lume. Is that correct?

Congrats! I have an appointment at my local boutique to see one tomorrow. I will likely be driving home with it, but they've been happily holding one for me since I called on Wednesday. My only question is when can I get one of the other straps? I think I'm going to want the blue fabric strap as well.

Killer! Was thinking seriously on this one but I am confirmed for an Elegante so it's tough! Still pondering!

Thanks, to me as well. Hermès breaking new ground with this range. It’s a well executed piece and no doubt Hermès will continue to improve these in future.

Thanks! No, this is the titanium piece. The graphene looks great in pictures no doubt, but from a distance it’s too much like a smart watch on a rubber strap. Looks gorgeous up close though.

Thanks! I asked but wasn’t given a timeline of when they could have replacement straps available. I’m looking forward to seeing those as well.

Thanks, Mark! congrats in advance on the Elegante. I suspect the Hermès would take more everyday abuse so maybe this could be a worthy standin for the days you give the elegante a rest? LOL I’m trying to enable...

This is a winner for me. Legible, 100m wr, and date with intact indices.

Love the watch.

Two questions,
1. Grade 2 or 5 titanium?
2. Screw down crown?

You are a great enabler! I have a message in with the local boutique. We will see if I succumb!

What is the lug width? Been searching around and can't seem to find it. Nice watch OP, I'm going to check out the bracelet version later today.

I think it is a well executed watch and I really like the pop of color but I struggle with seeing anything different than a SevenFriday with a Hermes logo dial and that wonderful micro adjustment strap. Sorry! And that's coming from a big Hermes fan.

The guy from Watch Advisor, I think it is, did like a 40 minute video on these and I am 99% sure I heard him say its grade 5.

I just picked one up on the black rubber. Not sure what to add to the posts above except to say that this watch is awesome. Fit and finish are tremendous, the strap and deployant ooze quality. I also have a Slim d’Hermes—needless to say I never thought I’d have a little Hermes collection when I got into this hobby...

Has anyone tried on the version with the bracelet? I'm curious as to impressions about the bracelet.

@OP, was there an option to get the watch with a shorter length strap?

I like the watch as well and may consider getting one bit with a smaller wrist size I may need a smaller strap.
