All 4 references are beautiful watches. I’m loving it - congratulations to all owners.

I just ordered the SPB213 with the white dial which is more or less similar to these Seikos. The only difference is the small marker at 3 o’clock.

Anyone have a reliable source for securing one of the SPB213s upon release?

Shop I've been chatting with just informed me that they will not be bringing any in. I'd like to put a deposit on one if possible.

Thus far I've been able to resist the temptation to add one of these, but this new white dial variant has the heat on like never before. I do have a couple of niggles. First, I wish the Seiko & Prospex text was in blue to match the minutes track. I realize they did it in black to match the black text of the date disc, so I can stomach it. However my second gripe is with the lumed marker at 3:00. Seiko, why???? Honestly it is so bad it is almost good. I find myself chuckling to myself every time I see it. So, so goofy looking.

The white dial is nice. Agree about the 3 o’clock lume.

Wearing my SPB145 today. Always enjoy it. I like the dial color and overall size of the watch.

You know I love this dial too!

Doing some searching around the various watch media sites/forums on the 'net and I'm reading that this odd 3:00 lume marker is due to the fact that ISO recently updated their specs to require lumed indices at each five minute interval marker. If true, what a shame. That is going to be a real obstacle for Seiko.

Interesting! Because everyone who wears one goes diving with it.

That is my thought as well. Personally I could not care less about ISO certification, especially if it comes at the expense of the aesthetics of the watch. I'd wager to guess I'm not in the minority in that aspect.

Welp I could not resist; I put down a deposit on a 213 this AM. It appears to be selling quite well as I tried several well-known dealers across the US and they had all already sold out of their initial allocations. I was able to secure one by calling a dealer a few hours away from me that is in a smaller metro area. Now the wait begins. They checked with their Seiko rep and they are not exactly sure when they will ship. They said it could be June. Excited to get my hands on it!

Nice! I got the 213 yesterday from my local AD. They had just got in a shipment in from Seiko. I didn't know about that 239, looks like my shopping isn't quite done....

Got this in today! Immediately took it off the bracelet and put it on this Meraud tropic. Will be my strap monster. Very pleased thus far!

Thanks William! I have to say, strictly from a case finishing standpoint - these are very well done. I was honestly a bit taken aback at the heft of the watch head at first. Very solid piece.

I think this is my first post :)

does anyone know if we can replace the black bezel insert on a 149 for a blue one? I have both the 143 and 149 and think a blue/blue look would be very nice.

Don't believe they have a blue bezel but I could be wrong

Damn this thread. Visited my local AD this weekend and once I put on the 143, couldn’t resist. Love the size and weight on my wrist.

I have my 143/101 on a Joseph Bonnie tropic and it is just perfect! Favorite watch at the moment.

However the 143 Willard re-issue also seems to be calling my name.

lume pip

Just learned about the lume thingie at 3 o'clock, and sure enough, mine has it. I never would have thought about it, and can't say it bothers me, but it got in my head and I just ordered a used one from Japan without it lol It's a well made watch and the dimensions are just fabulous. Stuff has been coming and going and it hasn't really got much wrist time. Foolish me, it deserves to be worn! I got the white one first, from an AD, runs great. Got the 101 from Sakura recently, price was nice, but... PayPal conversion fee disappointed me and it loses 30 seconds/day. I am having that addressed, hope it is simple. I've had some indecision about both, but didn't really give them a chance. Right now, they're winning! Maybe it's me, but if you own both, I think there is a slight difference in the dimensions... is that so or...

Buy it, more smiles per dollar than my sub.
