Have circled this thread a few times now for the pics alone. The more I see of it, the more I go from “like” to “love.” My favorite thing is the date window at 4.30.

Interest is building on this one and I haven’t said that often lately.

To those saying it looks too busy versus the Daytona, when I see them side by side, I just don't agree that it looks any more or less busy then the Rolex. The screw down pushers, crown guards and 6 lines of txt (counting the "Daytona") on the Rolex add to its busyness.

As for the date, it is certainly useful for many people, and since they pushed it so far to the edge, when you see pictures of the watch from a distance, you cannot even tell it has a date. I am guessing it will fade away fast and you will only notice it when you want.

The Daytona obviously has the better case, but the slightly larger size of the Zenith will work better for people like me that have a larger wrist and are 100% casual for dress.

This watch is compelling in its own right and is a hard buy at $6K or so. Who cares if someone thinks it is a Daytona or ask about it. I am just outside of Aspen and most of the people I see with nice watches could give two shits about a Daytona. Wear a watch for yourself....not for everyone else.

It may turn out that the black becomes the hotter of the two. Been watching all YouTube videos, and that’s my conclusion. For Daytona, the white is the clear winner, however, the chronomaster has a lot busier dial and the big contrast makes it worse. Let’s see...

Dealers know when a model is hot and they are going to try to milk maximum profits from this model for as long as they can.

Ignorance of the brand, the history and the technical innovations ?

Arguably this a a better watch than the Daytona (certainly more fit for purpose as has been said above) but its not a practically impossible to get "Rollie" and therefore, by definition, must be crap

Agreed. I just wanted to check. I am a buyer and have the green light from the Mrs at $7500. I don’t have to be the first on the block and don’t like just throwing money away in case I don’t like it. Every modern watch in their line up trades for under MSRP. I think if we wait you will get this no problem for that number as Zenith does not play the supply games Rolex does and will make as many as needed. We are cruising in December (hopefully) so I will check my Zenith AD there and I bet it will be there and discounted.

Yep, even the ceramic bezel model with identical 3600 movement and skeletonized dial trades at 30% off on joma.

Nice looking watch. Many comments suggesting zenith is copying Rolex,,,without zenith we wouldn’t have seen the modern Daytona for another decade... without the production limits of zenith, and subsequent modifications of Rolex, we wouldn’t have experienced the shortage of Daytona to start this enduring insanity.

If the watches look similar, I’m ok with that, they share a lot of history.

The 4:30 date window works for some but is a deal breaker for me for 2 reasons. Aesthetically I am not a fan and the window is too small to be of use to me.

Overall this zenith is a good looking watch

If people are already able to find it for $7,500, it is only a matter of time till you can get it for a price that starts with a 6.

Nice job chet...enjoy!

zeniths sell for 25-30 percent off new. not sure why this would change so i do agree. although if i could have it at 7.5k, tax included, today i would probably buy it.

I like it, especially the black dial. The back side looks amazing as well.

Zenith Daytona (this one) and one of the best chronographs out there and cheaper than basic Rolex OP41 street price? It's no brainer!

Agreed, although I don’t understand why anyone would pay a premium for an OP41, when you can get one directly form AD (some patience may be required)

The one think I’m bothered is zenith parent. LVMH

I don’t have respect for any of their other brands.

I like vintage Heuers but that’s it.

Bulgari Octo are pretty respectable

Bvlgari and Tiffany are top brands
I don’t understand why you can’t respect them

Another thing that I don’t like is all the crap concerning
“I’ll buy it at 20% under list or 25-30% under list”
Can’t you guys just buy it without being so stingy?
I’m fine with asking a discount at the AD...
But on the other hand... can’t we just buy and enjoy the watch?
Does it really matter that much to get the cheapest possible?
Wear it a couple of years, enjoy it and forget the price

This is part of the problem why most keep on buying those boring steel sport patek, Rolex and AP. It’s more about recognition and if possible making some money with flipping hot pieces.

I ordered that zenith and I don’t give a shit about it’s secondhand value.
I’ll wear it many years without checking prices on chrono24 every week or so.

Ditto.

Seriously too, if someone is trying to squeeze an extra grand out of the AD and worried that much about price, should they really be purchasing a multi-thousand dollar watch? If you like it, buy it and wear it. Watches aren't investments.

Is just personal.

I prefer Omega,VC, AP, Lange, Glashutte, etc. The brands from LVMH seem “to Me” fashion brands, with the exception of zenith.

I’m most likely going to get the white sports Zenith.

Look what I’m sporting today. Retailed by Sears. It was completely restored by me.

Ok... this checks a lot of boxes for me. Love the overall design. beautiful dial, 41 mm size, and I don't have a chronograph...Well done Zenith!

This is more than clearly influenced by the Rolex 500; it’s a straight up copy of the differentiated elements. I don’t even like the 500 but this is just a pure wannabe....
