President Bracelet Permanent Links
Hi everyone, it’s been a while, but I’m finally getting back on the horse and contemplating a new Rolex. I have my eye on an early 70s Day-Date. The bracelet is a bit big, but it doesn’t have any links with screws (to remove links). It’s seems (from what I’ve read on the forum) that I can have links removed, but is it possible to put them back on if one day I decide to sell it?
Thanks for your help! |

I don't know how you'd get the links off without damaging them. However, there are people who restore/tighten these bracelets, so it must be possible. I'd contact someone like Michael Young, who does this stuff for a living.

Thanks very much, guys. I contacted Michael, Rolliworks and another shop who's selling an 1803. I'll let you know what they say. . . .

Hello again.....It looks like it can be taken care of by someone who can re-pin the bracelet. Since it’s possible to take it apart and put it back together with new pins, it’ll be possible to remove links to resize without damaging them. If I want to put them back on eventually, they’ll have to be re-pinned. I’m having the bracelet sized on Monday and I’ll report back if anything changes. THANKS AGAIN for all your help.
