Is there a certificate of authenticity or extract from the archives being supplied with the watch? The whole watch, dial included, looks suspicious.

i would not touch it with out a certificate
No reference number is not a problem but I would like the case number and movement number from the archives to match

Did they mention what reference it is? Do you have information of some other watches of this type being available? Patek takes records of all the watches ever made since 1839 (I think a few first ones in 1839 are not recorded).
If you are doing the deal in person go to Patek AD or a Salon and have them authenticate the watch beforehand. |
