OMEGA SEAMASTER 300m PROFFESIONAL QUARTZ
Hello all, just picked up an Omega Seamaster 300m Professional at a local pawnbrokers hence although I know its a genuine example I have no paperwork, my question is does any one know how to date the watch from the serial no. I have checked on a couple of sites but the serial no.s seem only to be available upto 1998.''''''''''''''''''Mark

Mark,
I don't think anyone has that data and whether Omega even has a nomenclature for year produced? But since your watch is a quartz, it will run forever and manufacture date is pretty irrelevant. Nice watch BTW.

You might try Omegas website. They have a section for people to do research on older Omegas based on model, calibre and other data that I can't recall right now. You will have to register as a member if I recall correctly, but it's been awhile so I'm not sure. Give it a try and see what happens. There might be section for serial number too, but like I said I can't remember for sure.

I just checked the Omega website and I no longer find the 300M quartz diver in their menus. Is this model being discontinued?
Oops--it looked like the Omega website--disregard, my bad. A different link shows the quartz models. Sorry 'bout that! |

I own one (purchased from an Omega dealer) and I did a little research recently - I believe they made them up to the early 1990s ('92 maybe?). It's been a great watch!
