Stunning side by side shots that clearly show what I’ve been seeing since I got my Rolex. The BB dial is way more readable than Rolex.

Many thanks, good sir
FWIW, I gave the P01 a test drive this past TudorThursday but I just can't cope with the asymmetrical case and thanks to the "end links" (if that's what we can call them), you'll need a pretty big wrist to successfully pull it off... In any event, I was happy to have my GMT back on my wrist...

Round two...
It almost lasted one year without incident but back in early Feb I noticed the date was off (one day ahead... ) but I decided to wait for the next occurrence to be 100% sure. So now "caught on camera", there can be no doubt... . It's headed back to RolexSC - at least it will be, once my AD reopens...

My Tudor GMT was sent to RSC three times and they still could not fix it right. Rolex has been in business for 115 years and still can't figure out how to make a simple date complication? Unbelievable! I had to get rid of it because once my warranty runs out, Rolex will charge me top dollar to fix what they have been unable to fix under warranty. Total piece of junk. There are much better watches out there for the money. I bought a Ball GMT and it literally embarrasses the pants off the Tudor.

Wearing mine as I type and although I'm sure you hate to hear it, mine continues to run flawlessly. Hope RSC gets it sorted in short order once we open up again. dP

Despite my own's date-wheel issue, when posting on FB / IG and asked about it, I usually start off with "like most issues posted on the 'Net, I'm sure it's only a small percentage..." Today's IG Post - with the heading "Beauty and the Beast" #Istillloveyou #datewheelwoes

Back from a six-week stay with RSC (date-wheel issue repair #2). The report was translated into English so it didn't come out accurately... :
Titled as a "Partial" Service Repair of Date & Hands setting mechanism Repair of the Automatic Device (apparently there was an issue, but I didn't notice anything ) Various work on the movement (hmm... ) Hoping for the best because it's just an awesome-looking watch

I bought my Tudor GMT in May or June 2018, in January it began to skip the date, but the rate of occurrence was once or at worst twice per month. Annoying but tolerable for me. Eventually before my two year warranty expired I left it at the AD. The Rolex certified technicians at the AD removed the movement and shipped it for an exchange to Tudor. The turnaround time for the whole operation was precisely 4 weeks. Since a picked the watch the date change has been flawless so far, what annoys me is that the watch used to be super accurate now it runs 4 to 5 seconds slow. I will wait 2 more months to let the movement to settle and then will bring it to the AD for a regulation. Love the GMT, I really enjoy the watch despite the date misadventures. Changing the whole movement must be an expensive repair on behalf of Tudor, shame that they don't communicate about the nature of the issue itself. Wearing mine during the the family vacation this year. Staying locally and not travelling abroad, so the GMT hand is not much of use for now. |

OP - awesome pics of a great watch, and complements your 126600 quite well. The Tudor GMT is near perfect in so many ways. Here's to yours (and others) performing as it should now.

thank you, much appreciated
Assuming that you mean the GMT and the SD43, well, that's not really a fair comparison. With the exception of the date-wheel issue, both are excellent at timekeeping and the GMT is a nice complication to have. I'm however a big fan of the SD and its history - I own two (a 1999 16600 as well). If I don't take cost into account, the 126600 is the one to beat but the Tudor GMT is hard to beat for the money. Fortunately, I don't have to choose Quote:
Good luck with yours & please keep us posted Quote:
Honestly, I'd take a working date complication over -5s/day but I appreciate your annoyance, I also prefer my watches to run a bit fast. Since your AD can do that work maybe it's not a big issue to have it adjusted My pleasure Quote:
Many thanks for the compliment and I appreciated your positivism towards my GMT - fingers crossed

Tudor Black Bay GMT - A Pictorial
Quote:
Great photos and comparison. Can’t believe you prefer the Tudor, though? I owned one and it fit me terribly — it felt all too heavy and the 22mm bracelet was constricting and uncomfortable. I’ve not owned the ceramic Pepsi, but my 116710 fit like a glove. I moved on my Tudor after only 2 weeks — it was pretty much intolerable (though I did enjoy the Matt dial and snowflake hands). I love the "sleeper" grey Tudor cap; nothing on the front, the shield on the back - awesome
