There were more 5975s produced (total 1300 in all G, J, R and P) than 5650Gs but you are right a limited edition/anniversary edition is not a licence to print money. Another example was 5159G-012 (London edition) retailed for £ 69120 in 2015 but failed to meet the low estimate of $ 64100 in Phillips auction in 2018.
Yes 400 in each metal and 100 in P versus the 500 for the 5650. So not splitting hairs but the 5975G would be lower in production numbers than the 5650G. However the 5575 of which 1300 were produced is significantly above retail. So guess its down to what people like and perception of value.

I love the 5170g. The black and white dial with Breguet numbers is so sublime and visually appealing. A dealer I spoke with strongly advised that the only version worth owning is the 5170p because of future value. I get what he’s saying and I like the 5170p, but the 5170g is just so much more appealing to me and while I’d ideally like the watches I buy to hold their value (or possibly increase in value), I like what I like, and when the time comes (maybe next year) I’ll be picking up the “g” because that’s the watch I want to be looking at as part of my collection. BTW, I normally prefer blue dials, and platinum, and I don’t even mind diamond indexes, but the 5170g just hits the sweet spot for me.
