Watch sightings in Southampton NY

Went into town yesterday and saw a bunch of PP’s for sale at the “vintage” shops. I saw a 5074p and a 5711 1/a blue dial at one shop. Another had a 5990 and 5711 1/r as well as a 3700 1/j with diamond bezel at another. All the modern PP’s were NIB and you could hold them but not try them on. One dealer was almost apologetic about the price of the Nautilus but said it’s so crazy right now and was ‘reasonable’ for grey market pricing. He bought it for himself but given what’s going on in the market he said he had to offer it for sale. In his mind he just did not get hw a Nautilus could be sold for these levels when strap watches with great movements just don’t sell. It just makes me want to love the ones I have unless I can get something from an AD at list. Looks like my 5712 and 5726 will be my watches for a while... in the meantime it was at least fun to see a few watches that I am truly interested in in a shop case or window even if the prices wanted to make you throw up.

Waldmann at 25 Main St? If so that’s a great shop. I’ve yet to buy but stop in once or twice a summer when in town. They’ve been there forever. Seem fair and honest. They had some amazing pieces this year. Where else did you see Patek? London Jewelers sadly doesn’t carry at this store.

Sounds like a really nice dealer.
The sort of person/company you'd WANT to purchase from.

Yes. Waldman was one place and Glen Bradford was the other.
