Tyler is right, a 5711 ss is a PP, a pp which is much harder to get than a Daytona ss.

Doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong, the watches are just very hard to get at retail at an AD within a relatively reasonable amount of time.

Just hold onto your cash or buy second hand, they’re the 2 options available right now for many people.

Is its because you are comparing the wait time of a single Rolex Daytona reference to the entire Patek nautilus model range and averaging the wait time perhaps?

If you can get a steel blue 5711 at retail so easy, just buy it flip it, and get the black AND white steel Daytona over retail and some change.

Or buy at retail and flip the first 5711, buy 2 more blue steel 5711’s at retail and a submariner, flip 1 of the 5711 and you can have 2 steel Daytona, blue 5711, submariner and change.

Or introduce me to your Patek AD so I can get the steel 5711’s for you, I will do the trades and give you a steel Daytona for free. You can even choose what colour you prefer.

I hope that helps.

May be your Rolex AD thinks Daytona and beads don't go together.

If you can have any Nautilus steel so easy then it’s simple: buy one Nautilus steel and sell it and with difference of price you can buy a Daytona steel from gray market.
In this way you can consider Daytona cost you 0.

The 5711, 5712, and 5167a are much harder to obtain at msrp from an AD versus the 116500.

I'm not sure that statement is true, id figure as the daytona is more than 50% cheaper than the 5711, it's more affordable to many more and they may seem rolex to be the brand, its only when u have a rolex possibly that you find out about Patek

Just my opinion

If I wanted a 116500 all I need to do is walk into an AD and offer to buy a DD40 with it full boat. Maybe not all will accept but we can all agree you will get it done.

If I want a 5167 or 5711 I would probably have to package with a PC for 80-100k min depending on 67 v 11.

Pam66 has a better daytona than the 116500...not sure why he wants that. The beads look better with the green dial.

Get me a 5711 white and I’ll hand deliver you any 116500 Daytona you want at msrp.

The daytona in SS never really appealed to me. So never pursued it.

Pursued the 5711 blue. Ended with the white.

You just bought the WG Pepsi and still no time frame for the SS Daytona? If that AD can’t come through for you, I would find another AD.

It’s cause he walks in with 200k pateks watches. They see that and refuse to sell him the steel to spite him or milk him

They will sell him a Ss daytona when he hits 1 mil spend

big beads are a conversation starter....
AD: Man, what big beads you have...
Watchshoppper: they are the A ones, would you like to test it?

All jokes aside, I prefer pam’s wood brown ones :)

because every one is on the Rolex flipping bandwagon, it’s easier for a patek AD’s to hand out Watches to real customers, I have had my name down for a Daytona for quite some time now and was told lately that even if I spent £1M in the shop they could not get me one.
