GMail problem with settings

OK
I have looked all through all of the settings and cant find it.
I am going nuts.
Everytime I send and Email through GMail it sends me a copy of
that Email to my GMail address....

Does GMail always do this?
Can I turn it off?
Where???
It drives me nuts.

Not sure, Mine doesn't, but I do get copies of everything on my iphone.
Do you have any forwarding option set?

I have Gmail but do not have it set up to receive copies.

Try settings and then go under Forward and POP/IMAP.

See if the forwarding is set?!

That is my stab at it..

Try setting up a "dummy" gmail account, don't change anything.
Try sending something from that account.
If it doesn't do the same thing, open the settings from that one & compare with your real gmail account settings.

I'm not sure if that's it. It's disabled in my settings, yet I get a copy of sent messages in my inbox. This only happens when I sent email through the web browser. They eventually get hooked up with any responses so that gmail can keep track of the conversation. The POP settings apply to something like Outlook.

I'm using Outlook with my gmail account. The only copies I get are in my Outlook sent folder.

Go to settings at the very top right hand side on your Gmail page. It is there you can set up your preferences.
