Old Rado Watch ID?
Hey everyone, I just received my dad's old Rado watch, I guess it could be considered an heirloom and my first. They said the diamonds inside of it are real, but I'm not completely sure if they are or not. My mom is not exactly sure of the details, and my dad doesn't have the best of memories.
The model is a Diastar Automatic, and the back reads: RADO 565.0067.3 SCRATCHPROOF WATERSEALED MOD. DEPOSE 'serialnumberhere' I have no idea what year it's from or how much it's worth. The watch is at least 15 years old though since my mom has had it since the divorce back in the mid 90's. I'm worried to get any water onto it, as the seals are very old. I'm also looking to have it overhauled, and am not sure of how much it'll cost, and where is the best place to get it. Thanks for your help! P.S. I've attached pictures and I'm located in San Jose, CA I've posted it on imageshack since the image files are too large. http://img709.imageshack.us/g/img00061201010232258.jpg/ |
