Classic Subs - the blues and purple dials.
I've always been a fan of the classic gold and two-tone blue Submariners from the later 1980s until the end of the production years. It always amazed me how some of these dials turned from a gorgeous blue to a violet purple. Some are fond of the purple dials while some collectors pass them by. Either way, one would have to admit that the color change was quite unique and interesting indeed.
I know there are plenty of Submariner fans and collectors here on the forum, and with that said, let's see what you have. Break out those violet purple dials and post some pics here.

I went with my brother when he bought this 16803 from 1987. Such a lovely reference with open 6's and his dial has a purple hue which the photo doesn't fully do justice to.
I agree this is a classic, wish i had bought it myself |

That purple dial is stunning! Did it come that way or did it transform?
I don't know anything about this coloured dial...
