INCOMING - Omega Seamaster 300m Blue

Hello all -

Today I had another great transaction with DavidSW. I got an “excellent” condition Omega Seamaster 300m blue diver ceramic from him. To be honest, there were a couple, at most, hair line scratches and is still under warranty for about 2.5 years out of the 3. Perfect, perfect condition. Probably should have been considered mint, by some standards, but very happy to have in my collection now.

It fits a little larger than I’m used to, but I think it’ll be okay. Love to know what your thoughts are on fit. Can’t wait to wear this as a daily wearer. I’ve been wanting a ceramic and blue dial omega or rolex, but at least with Omega I didn’t have to fork over 28-32k.

(41mm reference)

Went with what was available for the deal. I like the ones with the waves, but actually like the gloss dials with ceramic more. And thanks all on your comments on fit!

Looks perfect on your wrist. I just bought the same watch and I love it. The blue dial is such a rich, beautiful color. Very comfortable watch.

I have a new Breitling due in from my AD next week, but after that, this Omega is top on my list to add to the collection next. I have been thrown for a slight loop with the new Basel release, as the new wave dial with ceramic bezel and new in-house movement is quite tempting. My thought is to pick up the current model now and have that tide me over until the "hype" dies down on the new release! Congrats on the purchase, and IMHO, the size looks perfect. Curious to know your impressions after a few weeks as a daily wearer. Everything that I have heard indicates this to be a very comfortable reference.

I have got the same watch. Wearing it today.

Truly, it is an unsung hero in my opinion. Does not get nearly the credit it deserves. A really great watch.

I too have the flat blue dial. I really like it.

Congrats, it’s a classic!

I’m thinking of grabbing one of these too, it’s the last of the cal. 2500 Seamasters. You know - the thin Seamasters.

You can purchase a beautiful micro adjustable clasp from any Omega boutique. I just acquired a brand new Omega, Seamaster 300M Diver (black) last week and ordered the adjustable clasp from the boutique in Pittsburg (Omega.Pittsburgh@swatchgroup.com). It fits and works perfectly. The part # is: 117STZ001154. $111.00, With shipping $118.00. Just make sure if your watch has the screw & pin band or you'll need a different # clasp.

I’ve always liked the 300, such a great piece. Beautiful looking, rugged, goes with most attire, hope you enjoy it.

Literally bought one of these brand new the other day as my main daily driver! Few reasons I went for it, mainly because its a classic watch that can be worn casually or formally, the other reason is when I was a kid the new James Bond movies had started coming out and Pierce Brosnan was wearing an Omega Seamaster, so the inner child in me wanted one!

I'm looking forward to getting a Nato strap for it so can change the look of it when I want as well.

Enjoy.

It really is a classic watch. The bracelet is so unique and rich and the fact it’s Bonds watch doesn’t hurt either

it was actually the bracelet that drew me to it, I like the blue dial and bezel but the bracelet caught my eye.

It is one of the most comfortable bracelets I’ve had on. And every other diver seems to mimic the oyster bracelet, which is a classic, but this stands alone.

Just saw that more people replied to this post. Now the I’ve been wearing it for about a month (about 70% of the time) I am loving it! To speak to the Basel release, I’d have to see it in person to see how I’d feel about it. I’d say this is a great choice for now for you if you go in for it. The watch is definitely one of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. I fell like it’s because the bracelet is not tapered which allows for a better balance on the wrist. Love also how the blue changes in different light. Sometimes a very strong blue sometimes a dull blue. I hope you get it!
