Ya gotta respect a man who stands up for his beliefs.

Although it is pretty amazing he lived until 64 years of age.

He may not have proved the Earth is flat, but he did reconfirm the existence of gravity. So there's that.

Godspeed, wacky traveler.

Both Theories have a lot to prove factually...
I just try to live the best I can everyday and enjoy
the days I have been given with my family...
Oh and uh, wearing my nice watch...

Yes , I agree though the flat earth theory has taken off
in the last few years and become more popular...

Man dies trying to prove the earth is flat.

This guy was on the alloutshow with rude Jude ( a sort of howard stern type radio show that’s on Eminem’s Sirius XM channel) a couple times.

They invite crazy people on all the time for entertainment. He was clearly nuts but also seemed like he was feeding off the attention he was getting. Hard to imagine this going any other way to be honest.

If I recall he was a limo driver who basically believed in flat earth and many other conspiracy theories.

This is different from the usual conspiracy theories like vaccines cause disease, man didn't get to the moon etc. There must be a limit.

Yes but some of this all comes down to the fact that there are companies that don't want people to believe science. And scientific method.

Lots of factors at play, science being manipulated by moneyed interest.

Moneyed interest not wanting science interfering with profit.

We go from the age of enlightenment to the age of stupidity. Every crackpot has a forum. Every forum has an agenda. Every opinion is as important as every "fact".

When we have no consensus on matters we will spin (pardon the pun) out of control.

At a very important time in human history we are dangerously entering down is up and up is down. Truth are lies and lies are truth.

There are no longer any adults in the room. It won't end well.

I'm all for personal responsibility, and I don't know anything about Rocket-Man besides what's written here and in the article, but assuming he was a couple of cans short of a six-pack, then you have to question the producers of the TV show encouraging a man with mental deficiencies to do something incredibly stupid - for no demonstrably good reason, purely so that people watching the telly could point and laugh at the crazy man - which ultimately led to his death.

There were apparently a number of indications that he wasn’t quite the zealot about Earth being flat. Seems like it was more of a good cover story to raise funds from knuckleheads to support his rocketeering ambitions.
