Whatever you decide, try on the 20K watch.

Personally I wouldn't do it. Quality I'm sure is not near like a Rolex. Rolex SD has more than plenty of real life depth greater than you can ever dive. That watch would be only a bragging factor for depth.

My goodness that watch is HIDEOUS. Please do not consider selling any Rolex for that. Don't save up and buy it - don't buy it at all :)

What is the point? If Rolex wanted to, they can make a watch to go 50,000ft, but why? I sure would not wear it!

If I would sell a SD for a diver, the diver have to be a Fifty Fathoms.

Got some questions though:
1) Is CX Swiss military a reputable company?
2) Any one here as seen or had personal experience with this watch?
3) What kind of resale am I looking at?

Thanks,
Yes, go for it, why not? It's an extreme diver with major bragging rights and no other discernable purpose. It reminds me of something beginning with "D"!

What in hell made you want one of those, dreadfull looking watch IMO.The DSSD is a good looking watch, but the dial is awfull. As someone has allready said it looks like a cheap watch, i hope it looks alot better in real life.

Hmmmm... I might consider trading my SD for a night, alone, in the dark, with Charlize Theron or Scarlett Johansson...but that's about it.

it might be hideous but if it has earned its bragging rights, then you have to give credit where credit is due ....they have made a mechanical watch that makes the DEEPSEA bend over....

Even by any standard, even a sub is an overkill for diving, let alone the SD, or the DEEPSEA or this monster.

But they have beaten rolex at their own game ... well not beaten, but they have upped the anti or raised the bar ....

This company does not have the ROLEX muscle behind them and their long term quality/life is debatable ... Rolex is
already proven over decades....

But it looks like these CX folks got a special kick out of uncrowning the DEEPSEA .... but then again, ROLEX with the
DEEPSEA also gets a kick out of uncrowning the others....

When you try to sell the DEEPSEA, you will have offers to buy coming from every which
way .... when you try to sell this 20000ft watch, I doubt you will have an easy time selling it...

As far as why someone would want to buy this...well for the same reason people buy the DEEPSEA: Bragging Rights...
But then unlike the other monster watches on the market today, this 20000ft watch puts $$ where its mouth is ...

So I am a little confused .... one part of me tells me to buy Rolex but then another part tells me, you know this watch
just might be the baddest diver on the face of this earth ... however one may choose to describe it, functionally it
can pove itself... unlike most others....

ok... maybe not worth selling the SD to fund it but might be a nice to have in a collection....these on ebay are for $3200 OBO .... so you can get it for around $3K or maybe less .... but my fear is that 2-3 yrs from now, they might come out with the 36,000ft version .... so then 20,000ft won't be the baddest anymore....
