My wrist is a little above 6.75". I presently wear the 16610, EXPII and the BLNR in rotation with the EXPII and BLNR being my favorites to wear. I was initially worried that the EXPII was too large but it's such a comfortable watch. I stopped wearing a Seamaster Chrono (41.5mm) because of the thickness and notable heftiness throughout the day. It's not uncomfortable, but not as comfortable as my other watches.

I've wanted the SD43 for a long time but now worry that it's going to look too large and not be comfortable. Thanks in advance.

Looks perfect. The middle picture looks most accurate.

I am a slim guy my self, with only 16.5 cm wrists (flat). I think the SD43 looks a little big to me, but my wife gives a thumbs up.

What do you think?

I think the size is fine. Most of my watches are big so this looks fine to me.

Thanks for the pictures. I agree with your wife and it looks good.

Thanks again for the comments and some fantastic pictures (abozz, jbert12,TheDude, Richris1, jvb.nc, Zakalwe etc.). Many have commented that the middle picture on my initial post may be a more accurate representation of how the SD43 may appear on my wrist. I do wish that I had held the bracelet tight as I did for the middle picture rather than it hanging loose when I took pictures 1 and 3 (uggh...and i also flexed my wrist which may have affected it's appearance of fit when taking the picture of the side of the SD43).

I wear the Explorer II quite comfortably and always thought that the SD43 wouldn't be a big difference. However, with the SD43 being heavier and with the shape of its case back (and how it may sit on my wrist), I didn't pull the trigger on the watch.

As many others stated in this thread, I imagine it's been snatched up already. It's such a beautiful watch and checks off so many things that I had hoped to find in the SD (the wider bracelet, the red writing, the gorgeous dial etc.). Thanks again for all of your comments and insights.

That’s smaller than the OPs wrist and yet I agree with you

Looks big. How's the comfort? Must have taken of 4 links for it to fit.

You'll be selling it within a year.

I have a 6.75" wrist and I think it looks great in terms of wrist/watch ratio. My bigger issue has been that I am 5'9" and for some reason it feel a bit big on me, but in terms of the wrist size - 6.75" is fine.

Wrist dismayed is the only factor to consider when wearing a watch. Height is irrelevant, completely irrelevant.

In my opinion, since you asked, it’s too overwhelming for your wrist. But I’m not a big fan of not being able to see ANY part of the bracelet from the top view. Your entire wrist is eaten up by the whole watch dial, bezel, lugs, etc. It’s wearing you. It’s almost like the lugs are even sticking out over your wrist. I’m not making disparaging remarks about your wrist, I’m saying that this particular watch may not be the best fit. This is a tough choice to make because it’s a beautiful watch and if you are comfortable wearing it, then go for it. But since you asked opinions, this is mine. Cheers, mate.

The watches appear too big for the wrist. If OP questions it then you probably already know! People can enjoy wearing watches large and small. Same as people wear their shirts etc. The SD43 case is especially large and heavy though. Like a chainmail XL shirt :)

Not too big at all. Just right.

Plus other people won’t really care.

SD43 Too BIG on my Wrist?

My two cents (and I might be a little late to the game.). True Divers, Pilot Watches and Chronos, among others, are meant to be big.

Its a true tool watch, or evolved from a tool watch, and, IMHO meant to wear big.

I think it looks great!

I have 6.75 inch wrists and the watch I get the most compliments on is my IWC pilot chrono, which is a beast!

Looks too big to me but the most important thing is how you feel about it.

Only you'll know......

I wouldn’t go any bigger and it looks fine.

Another thing, If the wife gives it a pass, bonus.

Too big. It’s also thick and top heavy.

I have a 6.5 inch wrist. The Explorer 2 is as big as I can go. Some may say it’s too big on me.

Your wrist size doesn’t matter. The SD43 is a big watch on any wrist size. If you like big watches, you will love the SD 43.
