I would choose the BLNR all day. For reference I have both the BNLR (1st Rolex) and white dial DaytonaC (most recent Rolex).

User to own both watches.

First I had the BLNR, which was my favourite watch at the time, but after getting used to the Daytona and the way it wears and feels, I started to feel the GMT as too heavy and bulkier.

So, for confort and how it wears, the Daytona is the winner by far!

Let's revive this: I'm trying to decide between the Black Dial 116500ln or The GMT on oyster.

I played this game in real life owning all the actual watches in question. My winner is the SS Daytona Panda. There is a “X factor” to this watch I wasn’t expecting after 30+ years with multiple Rolex models. The design is perfect with its organic case lines with the incredible cal. 4130 under the hood to back up the hype. The combination of elegance and durability is signature “ROLEX”.
I don’t really buy into the street hype so much but the SS Daytona is a stand out rock star among other already great models.

If only one, without a doubt BLNR + jubilee. One Rolex would have to have a black dial for me, so that removes the white Daytona. I like blue, but don’t like red, so that removes the Pepsi. I prefer the look of the jubilee on the GMT, but also don’t want my daily to have PCLs, so that removes the black Daytona.

Pepsi on Jubilee, Wearing mine right now and wouldn't trade it for any of the other choices.

I would take a BLNR or BLRO over a Daytona any day of the week. In fact, I have. I have had both the BLNR and BLRO, and refused a Daytona as well. I'm not a flipper, so I am more than happy that the watch went to smeone who did actually want one.

The GMT Master II is basically the best GMT watch ever made, and the most iconic. Comparatively, there are many superior chronos to the Daytona, which has become iconic only because of long-standing artificial scarcity.

Daytona white dial.

While k do think the GMT complication is more usual than a chronic, the Daytona is my favorite model by the crown mostly due it’s fit (perfect on my wrist) and it’s coolness factor.

Daytona is better sized for me. A PM version preferably or even a nice Two Tone on. The others are too stark.

Black Daytona. Goes with everything....looks great in the sun and in a dark restaurant. Does put a smile on my face. From a practicality standpoint however though it would be the Batman because it's more legible and has a date function. Daytona wins on looks and comfort. Super comfortable piece. Classic. Gorgeous.

Agree, I was close with the black dial Daytona or blnr. The jubilee is also super comfortable and doesn’t scratch, so that is why I want blnr, but hope to add the black dial Daytona someday as well.

I would also take my BLNR on Jubilee over my white dial Daytona by a hair. Mostly what others have said-Jubilee comfort and functionality (date and GMT)…

So interesting to me how many people find a GMT more useful. I can see the date, but I suppose I just don’t travel all that much.

I use the timing bezel on my dive watch daily, and always wish it had longer and more precise timing. Chronograph seems to have constant use: timing cooking, time between medicines, time outs for kids

I suppose I’ve made up my mind! Thanks guys.

For me, the Daytona is more beautiful, but the GMT is more practical. But I need the date and find the pusher screws a pain. I can time burgers on the grill with the GMT bezel. Add a jubilee and the GMT is slightly more comfortable to me as well.

If you have a Sub I wound suggest the jubilee GMT or Daytona. If you don’t then it depends if you want a chrono or a date. For a daily wearer I would go the GMT. It’s a more practical watch.

I thought I would prefer oyster. But If you ever wear the jubilee, I can see why people who actually have the watch prefer it.

BLRO or BLNR for me over any Daytona any day of the week. Won't ever consider a Daytona as not a fan whatsoever. Don't understand the hype.

Pepsi although it’s not my favourite bi-colour bezel option.

I’ve personally never liked the BLNR. Turned it down twice years ago and went with LN. No regrets.

Daytona isn’t for me. A hugely overhyped watch and although I have chrono’s in my collection, they’re all variants of the Speedmaster Pro which I think is the better watch all day long if chrono’s are your bag.
