So I got bored of my SubC date and my BLNR, so I traded them for a white ceramic Daytona, which has been my grail for a while.

Having a Sea Dweller made me consider selling the Sub, it’s just a different watch with a chunkier, more presence on the wrist.

The BLNR, while I get it that it is a discontinued piece, it just made me say “so what” when ogling over the Daytona.

Anyways, just wanted to share

Good for you for posting after you did it. Someone else posted a similar thread asking if they should trade 2 SS for a Daytona and they got crushed.

As long as you’re happy, that’s all that matters!

I’ve been waffling about this trade for about a year, which I know doesn’t look good on paper, but I realize I will never be able to get a Daytona at retail (I did get both SS for retail) or without waiting a decade.

As long as the value trade-wise is in the neighborhood in the current market, why not? Two watches ain't always better than one, depending on which watches we're talking about.

In this case, I'd have no problem doing the trade. But you gotta love Daytonas, of course, and that's a personal preference.
