Seiko 200m Divers Watches?
Hey guys,
Does anyone know if any of Seiko's 200m diver’s watches are actually made in Japan? I don't mean just movement made in Japan, but the entire thing? I was looking to get one but really wanted an all Japanese built watch. I quite like the looks of the Seiko SKA369P1 but can't find out where this thing is made but I have a suspicion that it may simply have a Japanese movement? Thanks for any info guys, Russ |

I have one that's all original Made in Japan scuba diver model. Red and blue bezel, 200m, Model 7S26-0020, 21 jewels. Made in Japan stamped in case back. Dial also stamped Made in Japan at 6 o'clock (not "Japan movement" type).

I take it that model is not available at the momont, although it does sound like just the type of thing I was looking for?
Any idea about any of their current 200m watches? Thanks for your help Russ |

I bought mine in the Middle East from a Seiko AD. I purposely bought it because it was an original all-Japan piece. Lots of Seiko divers watch models with Japan movement but assembled elsewhere in Asia. This is a solid watch for everyday beater. I recently bought an OEM rubber strap like the original band it came with, minus the compass. PM me if interested.

Here's a few examples;
And I can go on and on... Seiko is really a fantastic watch brand. I'm not going to bore you with all the technical stuff (but if you're interested, there is plenty of information out there to be found pretty easily). I will how ever, because I personally think this is a pretty nice detail, say that all their wristwatches are produced entirely in-house - even when it comes down to the oils used in lubricating the watches. SEIKO - probably, if not, one of my favorite watch brands. Good luck. Cheers, Joe
