Here are my photos from yesterday! I had a blast as this was my first GTG ever.
Thanks to John for organizing and it was great to meet everybody! Thanks for the brochures, magazines and the straps from the Watchboys, SC etc. Pete couldn't decide... explorer or subdate Misc table shots Roger has the pam fever.. what to do Roger and the head chef at the Liberty Rock Rolex's collection Ed and Pete Pete deciding he wants an Explorer... Shot of the watches in the house Roger has succumed to the dark side of the Panerai force You can't have a GTG without the sub and no sub together Roger's SD and Dayona, Ed's GMT, Petes sub date, Vernon's no date under one roof Omega SMP Chrono and the Daytona face off Sports series together...

Great idea, let's have all future TORONTO GTGs in Montreal. What's next US Elections in Dubai and British knightings in China? You missed a hell of a night Patrick, it was definately a night to remember. |

Food pictures:
Laurance's fried calamari The soup... Forgot what it was called. Getting very hungry..... Maybe we should eat the watches? Seafood Linguine Angus Steak Red Snapper fillet (I had this, it was excellent) I forgot pictures of dessert, it was so good I dived right into it before I could get my camera. Now the watches: Roger shots: And that's all folks. Last edited by wonghonchung; 6 November 2006 at 03:30 AM.. |

OK, so I'm going to be somewhat redundant, but here are the best of my pics:
A quartet of Sport Rolexes [IMG] A quintet of Sport Rolexes Does anyone notice the common denominator here? Steineart's homage to the GMT. Table 1: someone will have to fill in the first two on the left; from the back end on the left: Launch Mini (John); Avalon (Al) and Jacqui; Atomic (Johnny) Table 2: from the left: Chris; Joel; Ed Wu; wonghunchong (Thomas); Lawrence Yap; Mrs. Chris Paneristi table (Carlos is on the right) Table 5: Pete; roadcarver (Vernon); Roger Our host, Nesam and Ed Wu. The restaurant was The Liberty; the food was first rate and the service was outstanding. The collection - anyone care to guess the $$ sitting on the table? The Roger shot Beautiful swimmers A great time was had by all.

Yep. Landed about 12:45 PM and got home by 1:15 PM. Now I'm just staying home nursing this cold I picked this weekend. Probably from following after Roger as he tried to track down every AP ROO in the damned city.
BTW, Roger and I went out for breakfast this morning on the way to the airport. First time I've ever had bacon and eggs and dim sum at the same time. But the funny thing is, it was quite good.

I love dim sum, so I'm glad I got to have some up there. I did enjoy Toronto and would like to get back there again sometime. If it is SARS, maybe it'' give me an excuse to stay home from work tomorrow.

Good lord, guys! It looks like you folks had a blast. Man oh man, that's a pile o' watches on the table. Has anyone done a retail calculation of their combined worth?
Thanks for sharing the photos with the rest of us! |

I don't know, I'm guessing $250,000 US? Let's average the retail of each Panerai and Rolex in there to be worth $4,000 or $5,000. |
