Submariner no date, should I buy?

With current shortages in all stainless sports watches. I found a black sub no date at my local dealer. I really want one with date but can sacrifice it if need be. What are your thoughts. Should I wait or make the purchase as the have it in stock?? Can I sell with out being to much upside down in the near future to upgrade?

If you like it get it.

I’ve got one and love it.

I prefer the 114060 over every other modern sub — even the others I wear...

So — yes.

Its a beautiful piece. But if you want a date, just keep waiting. They will pop up.

I'd get it and then make a decision if the date comes in.

If you have to ask then maybe it’s not the one for you.

If you really like the date version more, you should wait. It's best to buy something that you really want.

I was going to buy a Sub Date, but when I saw a No date at the AD, I really had to have it. When I'm reading news on my IPad before work, I set my bezel to the current date and I'm good for the day!

Both the date and no date subs are great. Just make sure it is the watch that you want

Yes. You should get ONLY WHAT YOU want and if you have to wait, then so be it.

I have been waiting over a year myself for a specific item, and waiting for something currently out of stock is just a part of today's Rolex production and distribution.

Be patient and eventually you will be rewarded.

Maybe you will end up preferring this to the date version...for me it looks much more aesthetic.

Only buy a Sub No Date if you want one. I have owned my 5513 for over 50 years. It is the Rolex Rocket Ride for me. No frills,No Bling. Just the Basic Rolex. My Hulk and GMT never get a second glance in an AD or Boutique. Sales people have never Failed to comment on my Basic Plane Old Sub. I have had numerous offers to buy from the folks that notice !

It ain't easy bein me

I had a date...now I have the no date...I prefer the clean look of the crystal

My date sub would get kinda smudgy around the date window....prefer it clean.

Its a sports model...have your dress watch with a date.

If you're wanting the date model I'd wait it out.
I prefer the 114060 personally.

If you have to ask, then you are not ready. That being said, the ND Sub is a very cool watch.

So true. Figure our your goals and values first then enjoy the purchase.

Have a good one.

Either one is a good buy, but get the one you enjoy looking at. No question for me, 114060 without a doubt.

Wait for what you want. I have done that in the past buying something not completely sold on. You will like it for a while but down the road you will want what you want and then do it while losing a couple bucks in the process.

I got the date (both were avilable), but need the readers on to actually see the date! Ha! Love both watches and can’t go wrong either way. If you want the date I’d wait for it.
